It does not make one unnecessary or less important than the other. You just have to know what you really need to determine which fruit you will consume.
This is the same as the two learning options. Both mobile learning and traditional learning have their respective benefits. Not only that, there are specific lessons that are best done through mobile learning, while there are those that are better learned through the traditional way. You have to understand what makes one better than the other so you can choose which type of learning should be used.

The mobility and flexibility make it easier for users to engage in the lesson since they prefer to use it over other devices. The engagement level in traditional learning is different. While it is easier to interact with other students and the instructor, not everyone is involved. Individual engagement is more likely to happen with mobile learning.

The flexibility contributes to the ability of learners to access the course. Even busy people can learn despite their hectic scheduled because of mobile learning. Since this type of learning is usually in short and bite-sized courses, the retention rate can be given a boost. Sometimes, traditional learning is more lengthy because the instructor will be taking advantage of the fact that everyone took the time to meet for the class.
It is a great tool to improve performance. Since learners can have quick access to information, mlearning courses become a great tool for just-in-time learning requirements. If the learner needs to refresh something, this can be a learning material that they can rely on to keep their knowledge and skills sharp as they finish their daily tasks. This is not something that traditional learning can provide because you cannot do multiple things while engaging in a classroom setting.
As you can see, mlearning can provide all of these benefits compared to what traditional learning can give. Of course, you have to take into consideration the lessons that need to be learned. There are specific courses that fit well with mobile learning – while there are those that you have no choice but to learn the traditional way.
